Trina and Janne have been a driving force in spreading Balboa Swing in Sweden. They are arguably the first to teach weekly classes in Balboa in Sweden beginning in 2003. Even with their lack of experience in the beginning they knew they had to start somewhere to build a scene for this wonderful dance. Trina and Janne have been teaching weekly classes and workshops ever since. They also organized the first all Balboa weekend workshop in Sweden in 2004, then called Uppsala Balboa Weekend. The camp is better known now as Sweden Balboa Weekend!
Trina and Janne are known for their enthusiasm, for giving personal feedback even in group lessons and for comprehensive explanations. Trina focuses on how to follow well and gracefully and less on fancy footwork. Janne strives for a relaxed style without unnecessary work and absolutely loves Pure Bal.
Andréas Olsson & Joana Ekeström (Stockholm, Sweden)

Joana started dancing Lindy Hop in 1999, and Andréas in 2001. Between 2002-2007 they were part of Shout'n Feel It, performing all kinds of swingdancing styles in Europe and the US. Andreas is currently also part of the Swedish National Lindy Hop team.
In january 2004 they attended their first Balboa workshop. Since then, they have attended most of the bigger Balboa events in Europe, taking classes and privates. In spring 2005 they started teaching Balboa at Swedish Swing Society in Stockholm, and have since then worked to develop the balboa scene in Stockholm. In 2005 they organized the first Sweden Balboa Weekend in Stockholm, and have continuosly been involved in the organization since then. To date they have been teaching at international Balboa workshops in Germany, Finland, Spain, Turkey, France and the US (Los Angeles).
Andreas and Joana focus on musicality, control, leading and following. Their style is energetic, elegant, classic yet innovative. They find inspiration in clips as the beach clip, in all kinds of lead and follow dance and in the best dancers of our time. Their passion for the dance makes them aim for being part of modern day development of Balboa.
Andreas and Joana have a calm, systematic and playful way of teaching, and they like to focus on the crucial details, both in basics and more advanced steps.
Jennie Norrman & Jonas Pettersson, Uppsala, Sweden

Jennie has been swing dancing since 1994, Jonas since 2003. They have both spent a lot of time traveling to different swing dance camps and also practice other dances to improve their general level of dancing. Jonas and Jennie have been teaching together since 2004, mainly in Uppsala but recently also at different weekend workshops in Europe such as f.x. Copenhagen Bal X-perience, Hamburg Balboa Weekend and Tiny Balboa in Grenoble.
Jonas and Jennie both love to teach and to see other people grow in their dancing. As teachers they aim to be as clear and pedagogical as possible, while at the same time keeping the fun and enthusiasm their students show for the dance. Their focus is on a good technique which will enable their students to develop their own style and feeling for the dance, while always maintaining solid leading and following skills.

Benoît is a Balboa Globe trotter, he goes wherever Balboa is danced in the world. He has been entering many competitions where he often got placed at the top. You will be charmed by his natural elegance and seduced by the softness of his lead. Sometimes subtle, sometimes creative, Benoît offers you Balboa in its completeness, playful and original.
Susana cannot be overlooked. When Susana is not sleeping, she is dancing! :-). Dance is part of her life. First an Argentinian tango dancer, she later started to dance Balboa (making us very lucky ;) ). She has also been noticed on the dance floors by being placed high in the competitions. Her style influenced by Argentinian tango will provide you with unique footwork.
Susana and Benoît come from Toulouse. They have a fluid, creative and very subtle style. They sometimes teach privates at the events they visit and dance at all around the world. They are appreciated for their humor and the passion with which they deliver their classes.

The Russian balboa dancers Sasha and Ivan were first fascinated by balboa in 2004. Since then they have worked hard on discovering the secrets of this magic dance and on creating a balboa scene in Moscow.
Competitors, and hard workers by nature, they try to take part in every competition they can go to. However considering social dancing the most precious thing in the world. In their dancing, Sasha and Ivan try to be creative and authentic at the same time. Their style combine elegance and intimacy of purebal with jitterbug feeling of balswing.
