Balboa, one of the coolest swing dances, originating from the swinging 1920s and 1930s California, came relatively late to Denmark in 2006. However, we are off to a flying start! By now, Tuesdays have been firmly established as Balboa Night – a night where all lovers of faster swing music meet to take classes and/or social dance at Flyverswing at Råhuset in central Copenhagen. The DJs make sure that the dance floor swing and once a month there is live music by some of the best swing bands in Copenhagen. Dancing in general - and Flyverswing in particular – is about playing to music with a partner and there is plenty of space for improvisation, so come and join the fun and discover the next big thing!
