Tuesday night is Flyverswing Night in Copenhagen. Balboa dancers and other lovers of faster swing music meet to take classes and dance the night away to cool music and maybe have a drink in the friendly, cheap bar. It all takes place at Råhuset, located near the Central Station at Vesterbro.
If you want to start taking classes, we regularly have beginner workshops - no partner or previous dancing experience is required. There are three levels of Balboa classes taking place between 18.30 and 21.00 - beginners, intermediate and advanced. The social dancing starts at 21.00 and goes on till app. midnight. The first Tuesday of the month there is live music where some of the best local swing bands make the floor electric. Other nights the DJs make the house swing.
Flyverswing is open to everybody and if you have never danced before or maybe just want to check out what all that swing dancing is all about, this is an excellent place to get started. Every week, there are free taster-classes 20.30-21.00 in Balboa (uneven weeks) or Charleston (even weeks). You will get a feel of the basic steps, so you are ready to enter the social dance floor afterwards. You don’t have to come with a partner; we will make sure you will get somebody to dance with.

Every Sunday the swinging cats and kittens are hanging out at Studenterhuset, dancing and socialising. You don't need to bring a partner, all you need is the will to swing! The swing-DJ is in his place, and the dancers are moving their feet like there's no tomorrow. There are regularly live music or jam sessions. More info here
